Recent record rainfall has lead to the expansion of the Groody river in the Singland / Rhebogue area of Limerick.
The river now covers many hectares of low lying land as can be seen from the panorama below.
At their height, floodwaters appeared close to entering the underground carpark of the newly build Park Point development.

The financial crisis has brought many construction projects around Ireland to an abrupt halt. Below you can see an aerial image of the Parkway Valley site as it stands today.
